Services and surface finish

CETRIS® cement-bonded particleboards may be machined with all standard wood-working machines. The professional treatment of boards requires tungsten carbide tipped tools. The boards may be cut, drilled, milled and sanded. The boards may be attached to structures by screwing, riveting or nailing. Alternatively, the CETRIS® boards may be attached to the support structure by gluing or using clips. Both methods are used, in particular, to attach boards in suspended vented facades - see facade systems.

CETRIS division, upon the requirements placed by customers, cuts boards in lengthwise, lateral or crosswise direction. The boards are always cut from the basic production size of 3 350 x 1 250 mm using special equipment. Minimum possible dimensions of cut rectangular sizes are 50 x 50 mm. Maximum possible dimensions of cut rectangular sizes are 1 225 x 3 325 mm.

The boards are delivered with drilled holes, including countersinks, based on the drill plan submitted by the customer.

Full size machine sanding is carried out to produce CETRIS® PDB floor sanded boards in order to reduce the thickness tolerance to ± 0.3 mm.

Upon the requirements of customers the side edges of CETRIS® boards may be milled to half-groove, tongue and groove or chamfered.

When surface finishing the CETRIS® cement-bonded particleboards it is necessary to follow the principles stipulated in the technical and mounting instructions. Recommended materials and principles of use are available at Downloads..
